5-27-2021 Computer Club of OKC – Remote

This was a hybrid meeting since some of the members of ccOKC met in person and others like myself joined via ZOOM.
Today’s main topic was “Using Ccleaner for More than Cleaning” which focused on
all the utilities and tools that are bundled and are a part of Ccleaner.
That was followed by a hands-on Q&A session where via screen sharing I explained
all of the various tools and answered any questions by showing the user just how it’s done. We also spent some time discussing Recuva.
The second part of the presentation covered the use of SnapCamera and Clownfish voice changer
and how those programs can be used to enhance and make using ZOOM and other video sharing programs
more fun when appropriate. Everyone at today’s club meeting learned a great deal and had some fun.

regarding Google Photos.
This past Thursday, her husband Jim was our guest on Tech for Seniors Live.
We also covered a multitude of technology and cyber security topics.

5/13/2021 Fredericksburg PC Users Group, MD – Remote

I joined the group’s meeting to hear another presenter who didn’t show.
When the no-show became apparent, I volunteered my services which made the club happy.
Some of the follow-up questions were about SecureLine and why do I need Avast when I already have Microsoft Security installed. I was happy to offer my thoughts on both of those topics.

Another excellent turnout (122) from folks all over the country.
We also had attendees from Canada and Germany.
Today we covered several topics and an extended version of Security News,
Music in the car, and Starlink. During the security portion of the show I mentioned a great article from Avast to help protect folks from Identity Theft.
It’s a very comprehensive primer on the topic.
