What Is AI (Artificial Intelligence)

January 28, 2023 § Leave a comment

I posed the following question on ChatGPT ( https://chat.openai.com/chat )
“Is AI really artificial intelligence or is it simply a smart algorism that filters or channels know data on a subject?”
The following is the reply it composed:
“Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think and learn like humans. While traditional computer programs are based on a set of specific instructions, AI uses algorithms and statistical models to enable machines to learn from data, and make predictions or decisions without being explicitly programmed to do so.

There are different types of AI, and the level of intelligence displayed by a machine can vary widely. Some AI systems are only capable of performing very specific tasks, such as recognizing images or speech, while others are more general-purpose and can learn and adapt to new situations.

One type of AI is machine learning, which is a method of training algorithms on large amounts of data to enable them to make predictions or decisions without being explicitly programmed. This is what most people refers as AI, but it’s just one of the branches of AI.

In summary, AI is not just a smart algorithm that filters or channels known data on a subject, but a simulation of human intelligence in machines that can learn, adapt, and make predictions or decisions, using various algorithms and models.”

To me, this sounds like a logical and very well thought out answer. Not like something simply arrived via a smart algorithm.

USB flash drives are still a common way for attackers to infect computers with viruses and malware.
They can damage your devices and data in seconds. If you think this can’t happen to you, think again!

Tabbed Notepad is a new feature coming to Windows 11 that will allow users to open multiple notes in the same window.
With Tabbed Notepad, users will be able to quickly switch between notes without having to open multiple windows. Additionally, users will be able to easily organize their notes by organizing them into different tabs.
This will make it easier to find and access notes quickly. (I used Compose AI to generate this description) I did not use AI to produce the video.
